Fake Figures is another powerful band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Blog submissions about two months ago with this very song; Bury the Hatchet, off from their Bury the Hatchet single, which was released in 2018. Sometimes you don’t need to know anything about the band or the artist, just focus on the music and listen to it carefully. Bury the Hatchet is a song that delivers the right kind of message/statement in my opinion. I am sure these gentlemen are very proud of their work and sound, especially for this song. Time to time their general sound has reminded me of Killer be Killed, the project of the members from Soulfly, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Mastodon. Fake Figures has the same kind of monstrous sound, loudness, vast energy and more. This very song has thrash metal, grunge, punk rock, hardcore influences, served with a delicious blend. Beware! Listening to it once is highly addictive, will immediately make you wanna hear it more and more.

Technically, Bury the Hatchet has one of the best standards I have heard for some time. It is making the difference not only with its sound quality of course, but it is one of the key elements here. Creating this warlike atmosphere is enough to make your name shine anyways. The producer here is playing a key role as well. We are sending him our gratitude for his remarkable contribution to our favorite music. Everything sounds super clean, clear, powerful, very well balanced, impressive and in great harmony. I loved the dynamics of this track, truly. You can imagine yourself driving fast at night, inside a cage fight or somewhere with a heroic dose of adrenaline. When I take all these into account, I can say that I am well impressed by Fake Figures’ advanced musicianship, intelligent songwriting, sound quality, dynamics, production, feeling, attitude, excitement, and originality. One of the very few bands who immediately struck me with their monstrous sound after Gojira! Also, Fake Figures have certainly earned their place in our TOP METAL SONGS playlist on Spotify. As I have mentioned earlier, we will be following these gentlemen from now on and you guys should do the same from the links below! STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR FRESH INSPIRATIONS!
