Gum Bucket is another powerful traditional hard rock band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Blog submissions about a month ago with this very song; Time To Go, off from their Changes album, which was released in 2018. It might sound unusual to you as well, but this band for me has made a difference with their attitude, experience, energy, and also with their badass image on their music video. I normally don’t make a decision in this way. But I really liked their attitude and the general look of the band. And I don’t know why, but they remind me of some pioneer bands like Motorhead and Rush. It is mostly the attitude I suppose, and the way they play their own music is certainly creating some kind of double effect, and keeping the viewers’ attention alive until the end.

Time to Go is a powerful traditional hard rock song, performed by these amazing gentlemen. It is quite obvious that they all are advanced musicians, and I don’t think the song would make this big impact if it wasn’t theirs. In my book, what they have done in this song is not that easy to explain in a couple of sentences. It’s like the touch of “experience”. They have followed the old fashioned way in building up the structure as I can understand, however, there are some moments they make you get really excited. Honestly, I expected to see them jamming on those fantastic moments, and that would be truly outstanding but still. They have got the potential to surprise everybody anytime anywhere, so better to go see them playing a full show live.

Technically, Time to Go has top class standards in every way. Everything sounds clean, clear, very well balanced, natural and most importantly in great harmony. I can hear that every single layer was balanced and mixed perfectly. I really liked the detailed work the producer has done with the drum sound and the vocal mix, to be honest. So their general sound is one of the (many) things that Gum Bucket is great at. As you might remember from my previous articles that I listen to tons of new music every day and I come across with traditional hard rock stuff as well. Honestly, it is hard to come by good music with this kind of spirit in these days. When I take all these into account, I can say that Gum Bucket has done a wonderful job with Time to Go. I am sure this song will introduce these amazing gentlemen to the right people in the best way possible. They have won our admiration not only with their amazing music, but with their attitude as well.
