Halo One – Fragmentation Album Review

Today, we are featuring a very exciting traditional power/heavy metal band; HALO ONE, from Finland. We have reviewed their latest full-length release; FRAGMENTATION along with its style, potential, story, recording quality, production rate and more.

Halo One – Fragmentation Album Review

Halo One is actually a one-(super)man project, who only started with recording his own musical ideas by himself without having a destination in what he’s doing a while ago. We all perfectly know that life is full of surprises and you never know where you are going to end up after a single step you take today. Stories such as Halo One’s always remind us of one thing; nothing is impossible. A passionate musician who took part in so many different musical projects through the years, eventually completed all missing fragments by himself and put together a massive sounding traditional heavy/power metal record that we are proudly presenting to our readers today.

Fragmentations is an album that offers fresh blood not only to power metal fans but to everyone who loves the fantastic sound of metal. I had a great time while listening to the whole record without taking a single break. It reminded me of my childhood when I first listened to albums like Horror Show, Dark Saga (Iced Earth), Images and Words (Dream Theater), Break the Cycle (Staind) and so on. It sounds like a delicious combination of many different types of hard rock, heavy metal, death metal, grunge and industrial metal. The atmosphere is superb and the energy flows perfectly from the beginning to the end. A few days ago, I saw someone posted a graphic on Instagram where he asked about the albums you can listen to all the way through. Well, I certainly have got one more in my list today.

The recording quality and the production are too good to believe that the whole was only written and performed by a single person. I read that he teamed up with another magnificent talent, the producer Juho Rinne, who also has done an amazing contribution to the overall outcome of this album. The music, in general, is so clean, clear and so fuckin’ loud that you can’t resist this massive energy of the sound. It immediately electrifies the listener and takes you under its effect for some time. Compositions are not that standard, so the melodies. There are numberless killer riffs, breakdowns, interesting musical ideas and exciting moments. It is pretty obvious that the mind behind all these has a big potential in what he does. He chose to create a little bit more innovative builds without giving up on his melodic side. And when I take all these into account, I can say that the discovery of Halo One will certainly restore faith in all metalhead community. We have added a couple songs to our The Best Metal Songs 2018 Playlist from this amazing album.
