Henry Metal is once again here with us with another fascinating full-length album; Henry Metal 8. First of all, I would like to repeat for those who are hearing them for the first time; Henry Metal is an exclusive solo artist who has managed to release 8 full-length album only in 2 years. Well, as you’ll understand, this is a quite extraordinary achievement by an extraordinary band. I have been listening to Henry Metal since their first album, also featured them on our blog a couple times. This time we will be talking about their brand new full-length album called; 8. I listened to the album a couple times before I start writing my article and I can easily say that the album has traditional Henry Metal dynamics as we have got used to hearing from them. Unlike Deadlift Cowboy (Henry Metal’s seventh album), I found this one much more creative and energetic in general. Despite all the respect we have for the band their passion for music and achievements, their music lately started to give me the feeling like they started to repeat themselves a little bit. Well, you will find so much in common with the traditional Henry Metal in this record as well. But in general, I think this is one of the greatest Henry Metal album of all time because of many reasons. Compositions are quite standard, melodies are much more fun and catchy, instrumentations are wonderful as usual and I think the vocalist’s performance has never been better. They have obviously improved themselves in some ways while maintaining the same traditional standards of the Henry Metal sound.

Technically, Henry Metal 8 has the same kind of production as their previous albums. I think they never change the way they record and their producer. I still believe that working with different people will bring you good and Henry Metal need this freshness about their music. However, this is their decision and we gotta respect that. Everything sounds pretty much the same, which can be considered as both positive and negative at the same time. Some bands such as Iron Maiden, Acdc love having a traditional sound along with their style. Henry Metal has decided to follow their path in this way indeed. On the other hand, the instrumentation is super rich as we have got used to hearing from them. Sweet bitter hard rock guitars (mostly Gibson sound if not mistaken), piano, rock drums, and solos. When I take all these into account, it is always a great pleasure listening to a new Henry Metal record for me. 8 is a powerful album with so many good things about it. However, it is still not the ultimate nor the last, just another step in Henry’s way to the top.
