Riddles in the Dark is a super atmospheric band that reminded me of those glorious days of the 90’s hard rock with this song; The Eclipse. It certainly has the same spirit with some legendary names from the 90’s such as Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Axel Rudi Pell and Stratovarious. It is grand, rich and captivating. The recording quality is excellent. Everything sounds pure, loud and very well balanced as you can also understand from this magnificent ambiance. In my opinion, this is kind of a song that our neighbors will never complain about hearing (!). Also, the production is excellently done by someone who exactly knew what he wants to do with it. I personally would do the same, and keep this grand atmosphere above everything. Their focus is on the vibe, and the general band sound, which is the right thing to do if you want to highlight your band sound, not only the vocalist. The arrangement is pretty standard, a usual example of this genre. The instrumentation is also the best possible, in my view. Solos, riffs, toning and every other single detail were properly performed, so the energy level never drops from the beginning to the end. Great job. I personally love this style which was super trendy back then. Whenever I find a music with the same vibe, it immediately excites me. Well, millions were influenced by this music, and rock/metal music was living its golden days. When I take all these into account, I can easily say that “The Eclipse” is more than enough for many people to ask for more from this promising band. And hopefully “The Eclipse” would be just the beginning of something amazing to come.
