The recording quality and the production are excellently done. I personally loved their band sound. It is perfectly balanced, mixed and produced. Sounds clean, clear and united, which are very important characteristics for a band. As you might also know that the number one rule in music is having a sound that carries your identity. This is the fundament that you should build your music on. In this matter, The Broken Bones deserves a good mark. I don’t know if they have worked with an experienced professional for their band sound or production, or they have managed everything by themselves. But in both ways, the result is satisfying. Guitars are thick, heavy and deep. Drums are super clean and very natural. The vocalist has a good voice for the job with no doubt. Time to time you can feel that his specific way of singing and his style is making a big difference for them in a positive way. This is very important. The vocalist has the key role in bands, and his voice and style decide the fate of that music. Sometimes you have good materials but your vocalist can’t feel it enough, or his style is not that special as the music itself. In The Broken Bones’ example, all of these important factors were done successfully in my humble opinion. When I take all these into account, I can say that this band has the potential to bring fresh ideas to their specific genre. They deserve to be followed especially by progressive stoner rock music lovers, who would like to discover promising new bands.
