Vallkyrie is a rising acoustic pop-rock band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Blog submissions about a couple months ago with this very song; Runaway Child, released as a single not long ago in 2018. I know that so many metalheads love acoustic music, including me. A good song, doesn’t matter if the origin is heavy, death, progressive or black metal still carries the spirit, sounds great when played with acoustic instruments. Runaway Child has reminded me of this, especially with its beautiful guitar parts. These gentlemen are obviously listening to many different styles including hard rock and metal. I can tell this by the way they play their instruments. Along with this familiar vibe in their music, I really liked the energy in this song and that made me wanna feature them on our blog. The sound is so fresh, so rejuvenating. Vocal melodies can be considered pop, yet there’s a huge rock music influence in them as well. But in the end, it is more like listening to a Blind Guardian song with a talented lady vocalist to me.

Technically, Runaway Child has advanced standards in every way, which I believe where the power of this song mostly comes from. Everything sounds so tender, so soft, you can listen to this music for hours. In other words, Runaway Child makes a difference with its brilliant atmosphere and vibe as I have also mentioned above. Musically, I don’t feel it is necessary to go into details of it like I used to do. Vallkyrie’s music has something else, a different approach. On the other hand, I don’t know who was Vallkyrie’s producer on this record, but I think they are very lucky to have such a person who completely understood their desires. It is a very specific work indeed, which earned our top mark for it without a second thought. When I take all these into account, I can say that I quite enjoyed listening to Vallkyrie’s music. They are refreshing with their sound and their brilliant vibe. Recommended to acoustic music lovers.
